GETAFE GENERA. INDUSTRIAL ENERGY COMMUNITY.

The Getafe City Council, through GISA, has established 'Getafe Genera, Industrial Energy Community', a non-profit organization with six local companies, to promote, distribute, and share renewable energy. Among its main objectives, in addition to improving energy efficiency, is sustainability, thereby reducing the city's carbon footprint.

This new industrial energy community, which other interested companies can join, includes the municipal public companies Getafe Iniciativas (GISA) and Limpieza y Medioambiente (LYMA), as well as Sistemas y Montajes Industriales SA; Invercarasa SLU; Tradicional Panadera SLU; Carsan Renting & Laundry SL; and Inventia Kinetics SL

The activities to be developed include photovoltaic self-consumption; energy efficiency; collective purchasing; access to aid and financing; electric mobility; energy studies; aerothermal energy; battery storage, as well as promoting the participation of local companies and public bodies in energy projects.
